The Tensabarrier® 885 Outdoor Stanchion Retractable Belt Stanchion allows you to provide a clear indicator to mark off any unsafe or ‘off-limits’ spaces or guide guests safely along a designated path quickly and efficiently. With its lightweight construction, the 885 can easily be transported to its desired location, making it an excellent choice for supporting crowd control or queuing needs in several scenarios and is built for indoor or outdoor use. Once in its desired location, the base should be filled with water or sand to keep everything in place.

With the choice of black or yellow body colors and webbing choices of black or black/yellow chevron, you are adding a level of safety for your guests and staff by notifying them and keeping them out of restricted areas or guiding them safely along a designated path. The plastic base and post can easily be moved around as needed, allowing you to change your queue or crowd guidance patterns as your needs change.
The retractable belt on the 885 is made of military-grade fabric that is 0.89mm thick and 2” wide, making it one of the thickest and most durable webbings on the market. A thicker webbing prevents sagging when stretching the webbing across a longer area. All Tensabarrier cassettes also come with our standard four-point anti-tamper webbing connectivity, which prevents accidental release of the webbing from the cassette. This ensures you won’t pull too far and detach the ribbon from the housing.
Safety is vital with Tensabarrier®; along with the Anti-Tamper webbing, the 885 also features the Tensabarrier SlowRetract™ braking system. Our webbing retracts 2.5 seconds slower than its closest competitor. This prevents the belt from whipping back and striking a guest, making the 885 one of the safest guest guidance solutions on the market today.
Setup is quick and easy; once in its desired location, fill the base of the 885 with sand or water. Once filled, screw the post into the base. Once you do this will all your stanchions, you can pull the webbing out and connect to any Tensabarrier® post or a Tensabarrier® Wall Mount Bracket.
